This is the free version of a highly popular vessel tracking app that provides real-time data on the positions and movements of vessels, utilizing a vast network of terrestrial AIS receivers and satellites. With VesselFinder Lite, users can gain a comprehensive picture of the global AIS coverage.

VesselFinder Lite features include:

 <li>Real-time positions of over 200,000 ships daily</li>
 <li>Ship details such as name, flag, type, IMO, MMSI, destination, ETA, draught, course, speed, gross tonnage, year of built, size, photo, and more</li>
 <li>Ship search by name, IMO number, or MMSI number</li>
 <li>Ship movements history - users can track the route taken by each vessel in the past 24 hours</li>
 <li>Port search by name or LOCODE</li>
 <li>Port calls per ship - provides information on time of arrival and stay in the last visited port</li>
 <li>Port calls per port - offers a detailed list of vessels expected, arrivals, departures, and those currently in port</li>
 <li>Variety of map options including simple, detailed, dark, and satellite maps</li>
 <li>Weather layers displaying temperature, wind, and wave conditions</li>
 <li>See Your Location feature allows users to view their own location on the map</li>
 <li>Distance Measure tool for easy calculation of distances between points</li>
 <li>Map filter to conveniently sort vessels on the map by type</li>
</ul>

If users desire additional features, they can purchase VesselFinder Pro and enjoy:

 <li>No ads</li>
 <li>7-day track history of vessels' voyages</li>
 <li>My Fleet - the ability to add favorite vessels to "My Fleet," which synchronizes with a user's VesselFinder account</li>
 <li>My Views - the option to save favorite map views for quick navigation</li>
</ul>

Coverage includes near-shore coverage, similar to the coverage available on the website. Satellite data is accessible with a subscription.

Please note that the visibility of vessels in this application depends on AIS signal availability. If a particular vessel is out of our AIS coverage zone, VesselFinder will display its last reported position and update it as soon as the vessel comes into range. The completeness and accuracy of the information provided cannot be guaranteed.
